Balance Limits for Normal Ground Operations
Removal of any large components forward of the wing may require temporary ballast in the nose.
There are no balance limits for fuel loading operations. For example, one wing fuel tank can be
completely filled prior to adding fuel to the opposite wing fuel tank.
As with any aircraft, use caution when loading. Always load aircraft from the nose to the aft. Low fuel,
unlevel terrain, wind and snow aft of the main landing gear can magnify the potential for tipping the
aircraft on its tail.
Jack Point Locations
Figure 19 presents jack point locations and maximum weight loads.

Figure 20 presents data for the lateral moment in 100-pound increments for the left or right wing fuel
tanks.
Lateral Moment of Wing Fuel Tanks - Metric Units
Figure 21 presents data for the lateral moment in 50-kilogram increments for the left or right wing fuel
tanks.

Airplane Weighing Procedure
These procedures are to establish Basic Empty Weight and center-of-gravity.
Weighing and Leveling Methods
There are two methods of weighing and leveling outlined below (leveling and weighing on jack points
and leveling and weighing on landing gear). Either of these methods can be used to measure the
Basic Empty Weight and center-of-gravity for the Citation Mustang. For each method of weighing,
follow the Preparation Prior to Weighing procedures.
Preparation Prior to Weighing
1. Weighing should be accomplished with the airplane in a closed hangar with all fans turned
off.
2. Check scale certification, calibrate (if necessary), zero and use the scales in accordance
with the scale manufacturer's instructions.
3. Thoroughly inspect the airplane for loose items, items out of place and systems serviced.
a. Loose items such as tools, floor mats, spare parts, etc., should be removed.
b. All items out of place should be placed in their standard location. Crew seats should be
adjusted to their full forward (toward airplane nose) position with their seat backs in the
most vertical position and the seat belts crossed on the seat cushions.
c. The landing gear should be extended and the flaps retracted and the control surfaces
locked in the neutral position.
d. Service the fire extinguishers, hydraulic and oxygen systems to the normally full level.
Service the engine oil to full.
4. De-fuel the airplane. Drain the unusable fuel through the drain valves on the lower wing
skin. Refer to Maintenance Manual, Chapter 12, Fuel - Servicing.
If the airplane is weighed after de-fueling by the procedure outlined in the Maintenance
Manual, the drainable unusable fuel (refer to Figure 5) should be added to the "as weighed"
condition. The fuel remaining in the airplane after de-fueling is considered trapped fuel and
is included in the Basic Empty Weight.
Method 1: Leveling and Weighing on Jack Points
1. Leveling on Jack Points.
a. Zero the scales with jack-pads and load cells in place.
b. Jack the airplane. Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 7, Lifting - Maintenance
Practices.
c. Level the airplane. Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 8, Leveling-
Maintenance Practices.
2. Remove the drainable unusable fuel, i.e. drip fuel from aircraft for a second time to ensure
all drainable unusable fuel is dripped after leveling.
3. Weighing on Jack Points.
a. After preparing and leveling the aircraft, allow load cell to stabilize.
b. Record each scale reading and check for drift.
