 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS ARE INSTALLED IN ALL OF THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCKS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Make sure the ground locks are installed in the nose and main landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 WARNING:_______OBEY THE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR THE DOOR LOCKS. THE DOORS CAN OPEN AND CLOSE QUICKLY. THE MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Open the doors for the wing and body landing gears and install the door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Lubricate the wing landing gear, the doors, and the uplock mechanism (Fig. 311 through Fig. 315).

Apply the Corrosion Inhibiting Compound at each location shown (Fig. 311 (Sheet 3 & 6), 312 and 313).

 (a)  JOINTS THAT HAVE BUSHING FILLET SEALS; Do the steps that follow: 1) If there are no cracks in the sealant, no more steps are
 necessary (cracks in the paint are OK). 2) If there are cracks in the sealant, but the cracks do not go to the lug surface:
 NOTE: You can remove a section of sealant to see the
____
 the depth of the crack.

 a)  Apply sealant to fill the cracks or replace sealant removed for check (no more steps are necessary).
 3)  If there are cracks that go to the lug surface, do these steps: a) Look for corrosion on the lug surface adjacent to the
 bushing flange.
 NOTE: You can clean the lug surface (in the area
____ of the cracks) with a cloth that is moist with solvent.
 b)  Remove sealant until you can see all of the corrosion.
 c)  If you see corrosion on the lug surface adjacent to the bushing flange, you must replace the bushing and repair the lug surface at or before a subsequent maintenance interval.

 d)  Apply a red witness line or an equivalent identification mark.
 NOTE: This will help you find bushings that will need
____ the compound applied at a subsequent maintenance interval
 e)  Remove 0.10-0.20 inch of sealant at two or more locations (for example, the bottom or outboard side of the bushing) to let the moisture out of the joint when you apply the compound.
 f) Apply a spray of compound between the bushing flange and the lug surface. g) Lubricate the joint again to remove all compound from the joint.
 4)  JOINTS THAT HAVE WITNESS LINES (OR AN EQUIVALENT IDENTIFICATION MARK); Do the steps that follow: a) If you see corrosion on the lug surface adjacent to the
 bushing flange, you must replace the bushing and repair the lug surface at or before a subsequent maintenance interval.
 b) Apply a spray of compound between the bushing flange and the lug surface. c) Lubricate the joint again to remove all compound from the joint.

 (5) Remove the door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).
