(e) Go to step (3) of "A. Start of Tester Program".
(5) Click on the "END" button of the "CHECK RESULTS" window. You will
see the "POWER OFF" box (Figure 116B).
(6) If the problem is related to the RF levels (too high or too low) and
if you think you can correct the problem through adjustments, go to
step (7). For all other problems, go to step (8).
(7) Problem Related to RF Levels
Do not set the tester's POWER switch to OFF if you will adjust the
RF output levels of the UUT as continued from the functional
testing.
Do as follows:
(a) Ignore the instructions on the "POWER OFF" box (Figure 116B),
but click on the "OK" button. You will see the "CONTINUE-END
SELECTION" box (Figure 116C).
(b) Click on the "CONTINUE" button. You will see the "LOG-IN"
dialog box (Figure 1113) again with the "NEXT" button enabled.
(c) Go to Fault Isolation (5.).

5. Fault Isolation
A. Preparations for Fault Isolation
(1) Disassembly Necessary for Fault Isolation
(a) If the problem is related to the RF levels (too high or too low)
and if you think you can correct the problem through
adjustments, go to step (b). For all other problems, go to step
(c).
(b) Disassembly for Adjustments
1 Keep the tester's POWER switch ON.
2 Remove the top cover assembly [1-10].
(c) Disassembly for Fault Isolation
1 Set the tester's POWER switch to OFF.
2 Remove the top cover assembly [1-10] and bottom cover [1-35].
(2) General Sequence of Fault Isolation, Repair and Functional Testing
Functional testing of the UUT must be completed with the general
result as "PASS". Figure 133 shows the general sequence of fault
isolation, repair and functional testing.
You usually do manual checks after the repair to make sure if the
problem is corrected. Manual checks are possible in the adjustment
mode. Refer to B. below for the adjustment mode.

B. Adjustment Mode
In the adjustment mode, the tester program lets you do manual checks and
manual setting of the modulator frequencies.
The procedure to use the adjustment mode is given below. The procedure
starts from the "LOG-IN" dialog box (Figure 113) with the "NEXT" button
enabled.
IMPORTANT
Do not obey the instruction given on the "POWER OFF" box (Figure 116B).
ALWAYS KEEP THE TESTER'S POWER SWITCH ON UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THE
