4.5.1.3.2 Functionality “Edit Document Unit reference link”
The functionality “Edit Document Unit reference link” enables a user to edit an existing
reference towards a Document Unit in the XML content.
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
A Document Unit is opened in the Document Unit.
The “Content” tab is selected.
The Document is in the “Tree view” representation.

The selected node is a reference link towards a Document Unit.
Description:
The user must select in the Document Unit Editor the “Tree view” representation of the
Document.
In the tree view the user must select a reference link Document Unit node.
The user clicks in the “Attributes Node Panel” on the value of the qualified attribute “ref”.
A button “Choose your solution ref” appears and accesses the “Insert solution reference”
wizard, the same as “Insert Document Unit reference link” functionality. The second step
is displayed with the node parent selected. The user can choose another manual while
clicking on the “< Back” button and access the first panel of choice of manual or insert
one other DU of the same manual.
The user chooses his new reference, and the modified tag is displayed in the tree.
4.5.1.3.3 Functionality “Insert Symbol”
The functionality “Insert Symbol” enables a user to insert a Symbol tag in the XML
content of the document being edited. The symbols are taken from the external
document manager.
Activation condition: A Document Unit is opened in the Document Unit.
The “Content” tab is selected.
The Document is in the “Tree view” representation.
According to the current selection and the type of Document Unit, a “symbol” node can
be inserted.
Description:
The user may select the “Tree view” representation of the Document in the Document
Unit Editor.
In the tree view the user must select an element in which he can insert a “symbol” node
via the “Insert Node Pane”.
He inserts the “symbol” node by double clicking on the type node in the dedicated tab
pane.
Then the user can edit the different attributes of the symbol. A wizard is available to fill
the “href” and “code” attributes. To activate it, you just have to select on of these
attributes in the list.
